Payment, refund, and revision policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

These rules apply to FINUTEX project work once both sides have accepted the brief and the commercial terms. They are written in plain language so a founder can read them on a phone before paying the first invoice.

Summary

  • FINUTEX collects 65% of the agreed project budget before work begins. That upfront payment is the amount these refund and revision rules apply to.
  • If the final deliverable and design match the original order or brief less than 95%, FINUTEX refunds the client’s payment (the 65% upfront amount) in full, within 3 to 7 business days.
  • If the final work matches the original order or brief 95% or more, and the work is correct, but the client is still not satisfied, FINUTEX will redo the work from 0 to 100% — including new changes and requests — for 60% of the initial project fee.

Payment terms

FINUTEX collects 65% of the project budget upfront, before work begins. The remaining balance is invoiced as agreed in the project proposal. Until the upfront payment is received, FINUTEX does not start production work.

The “client’s payment” referred to in the refund rule is that upfront amount — 65% of the agreed project budget — not fees that third parties (state filing offices, banks, licensed attorneys, or app stores) charged separately.

Policy 1 — Full refund (low match with the brief)

If the final deliverable and design match the client’s original order or brief less than 95%, FINUTEX issues a full refund of the client’s payment (the 65% upfront payment).

Match is judged against the written brief and any written change orders FINUTEX accepted before handover — not against a new taste or a new scope that was never briefed. If the delivered work is missing agreed pages, features, or design requirements from that brief, this refund policy applies.

The refund is processed within 3 to 7 business days of FINUTEX agreeing that the match is under 95%. The original payment method is used where the processor allows it.

Policy 2 — Redo when the work is correct but you still don’t like it

If the final output matches the original order or brief 95% or more, and the work is correct, but the client is still not satisfied with it, FINUTEX will redo the work from 0 to 100%, including the client’s new changes and requests, for 60% of the initial project fee.

That redo fee is calculated on the full agreed project fee (not only on the 65% already paid). The original upfront payment is not refunded under this policy; it stays applied to the engagement, and the redo is a new production pass against a revised brief.

“Correct” here means the work meets the written brief at or above the 95% bar. This policy exists for the case where the delivery is on-brief and the client still wants a different direction.

How to raise a refund or redo request

Write to the project lead, or to the contacts below, within a reasonable time after handover or the live review. Include the project name, what was briefed, and what you believe does not match. FINUTEX will answer in writing with which policy applies.
